Sound Bath Sessions with JoJo’s Therapy Room
Please keep updated via the FB Events page for upcoming events
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience that uses a variety of sound instruments—like sound bowls, gongs, and chimes—to help guide you into a state of calm and inner harmony. Each session may also include a gentle guided meditation to help you settle into relaxation and make the most of the healing sound vibrations.
What is a Sound Bath?
In a sound bath, you simply lie back, close your eyes, and let the soothing vibrations of sound wash over you. The tones created by each instrument interact with your body and mind, helping to release stress, quiet your thoughts, and bring you into a meditative state.
Each instrument brings its own unique qualities:
•Sound Bowls: These bowls, often made of crystal or metal, produce tones that resonate with specific chakras or energy centers, promoting balance and clearing blocked energy.
•Gongs: The gong’s deep, expansive vibrations provide a powerful energy cleanse, helping to release tension and stimulate a deep state of relaxation.
•Chimes: Soft, high-pitched chimes create a light, uplifting sound that enhances clarity and brings a sense of peace and focus.
•Guided Meditation: In some sessions, we begin with a short guided meditation to help you center your thoughts and set an intention, preparing you to receive the benefits of the sound bath fully.
Benefits of a Sound Bath
•Stress Relief: The calming tones help your mind and body release stress, leaving you with a sense of deep relaxation.
•Enhanced Mental Clarity: The sound vibrations support a quiet mind, making it easier to gain insight, focus, or a fresh perspective.
•Emotional Balance: Sound therapy can help release pent-up emotions and bring a sense of peace and acceptance.
•Physical Relaxation: Many clients find that sound baths help ease muscle tension and support restful sleep.
What to Expect During the Session
You’ll lie down in a comfortable position with blankets and cushions to support you. We’ll begin with a short guided meditation, helping you to relax and open up to the sound vibrations. As the instruments are played, you may feel sensations of sound moving through your body, helping to release stress and settle into a peaceful state.
Aftercare Tips
•Stay Hydrated: Sound therapy can be cleansing for both body and mind, so drinking water afterward helps with grounding and integration.
•Rest and Reflect: Take a little extra time to reflect or meditate after your session, allowing any emotions or insights to settle.
•Practice Gentle Awareness: Notice any shifts in your energy, mood, or physical well-being over the next few days, as the effects of sound baths can continue to unfold.
Health Restrictions for Sound Bath Sessions with JoJo’s Therapy Room
While sound baths are generally safe and deeply relaxing for most people, certain health conditions may require extra caution or consultation with a healthcare provider before participating.
Health Considerations and Restrictions
1. Epilepsy or Seizure Disorders
People with epilepsy or certain seizure disorders may be sensitive to sound frequencies or vibrations, which could potentially trigger a seizure. It’s advised to consult with a healthcare provider before attending a sound bath.
